Applying for a Job

This article outlines how to apply for jobs in K12JobSpot beta.

Begin Application

To get started:

  • Identify a role that aligns with your interest and experience from the "Find Jobs" tab, job preview, or full job posting pages.
  • Look for the blue Apply or green Easy Apply buttons associated with the job posting.
  • Select the available option to start your application.

Complete & Submit

Your existing profile information will automatically populate the application, giving you a head start that streamlines the process. Use the tabs below to learn how to complete and submit your application based on your available application options.

Apply

Select the Apply button to begin your application.

  • The Profile sections on the right display what is included in the application, as well as their completion status (complete = green checkmark).
  • The main window indicates the items within each section.

*Information from your K12JobSpot profile is automatically populated, so some sections may already be completed.

  • Select the section from the right to jump to the associated application section.
  • Complete any required information (indicated with a red asterisk *).
  • Select Submit once all section requirements are completed (blue Submit button = available for submission).

You can select Save & Finish Later to complete this application at a later time. Go to the My Applications tab to complete pending applications, review status updates, and monitor progress.

After reviewing and submitting the application, your completed information will be sent to the employer.

A pop-up notification will verify the submission. Select Continue to return to the Find Jobs page.

Go to Easy Apply

Easy Apply

You will see the Easy Apply button if your profile has everything required for an application. Select the Easy Apply button to get started.

After you select Easy Apply, you will have two options:

  1. Review Application: Verify information from your profile and edit, as needed.
  2. Submit Application: Send the application to the employer immediately.

Review Application

Selecting "Review Application" takes you to the application page where you can verify the information from your profile before sending, making any desired adjustments.

When ready, select Submit to send the application to the employer.

A pop-up notification will verify the submission. Select Continue to return to the Find Jobs page.

Submit Application

If you select "Submit Application", the application will be sent directly to the employer, and you will get a confirmation that your application was submitted. Select Done to dismiss the message.

View Your Application

Go to the My Applications tab to view your applications, including submitted and in progress.
